Goddess. I hate people sometimes. I don't know what has been wrong in my litle circle of influence the past few days, but I'm about to put a stop to it permanently.
First off, my possible future in-laws have decided that my son's 1st birthday party is not as important as taking the family out to eat buffet pizza, so they have invited some of my party guests to go along with them, at the time I was planning the party! Granted, the kid is only going to be turning 1 on Friday (party is on Saturday), so he won't even remember it, but that's no excuse for being Helens (my word for annoying people, no offense to people named Helen or otherwise being actually annoying). I was invited to go eat pizza, along with my kids, and it was suggested that "I" move the time for my party, in order to accomodate their plans. Oh H*LL no, lol! First of all, I'm the possessor of a VERY short fuse to my temper. It's reallllllly easy to set me off over nothing. Second of all, I'm pregnant, so with those hormones running through my veins, I'm even MORE irritable and likely to get pissed over tiny things. So my decision is to just keep the party as scheduled, and just have my family over, if they're the only ones who want to show up. :) That's the way it should be anyway.
Secondly, a friend of my friend, who has always specialized in making my life as miserable as he can, decided to piss me off for no apparent reason last night via AIM. Out of NOWHERE, he pops up with "Who wants to listen to your annoying babbling?" I wasn't even talking to him, lol. Last Friday night, while the kids were gone to their dad's, I met up with my friend and him at a local restaurant for awhile, and he got all b*tchy because he couldn't sit in the smoking section. (HELLO! I'm pregnant first off, and allergic to cigarette smoke secondly) Other than that, we haven't had any clashes whatsoever in over a month, so he decides he want to start something up out of the blue. My friend says he told her "I'm gonna go start something." and she claims that she tried to stop him but he just wouldn't listen...or didn't heed her if he did. The main thing that made me mad is that he questioned my discipline tactics with my children. In other words, he said "Go yell at someone, your children for instance". Implying that I yell at my children in another sentence as well. First off, I do NOT yell at my children...I spank them, yes, for biting each other or for deliberately disobeying in a dangerous way after I've told them repeatedly to stop, with no response. Other than that I either try to talk to them in an adult manner or give them a time out. I don't just stand there and yell at my children. Second off, he has never even SEEN me with my children to know anything about me one way or another. So either he was making it all up, or my friend has been running her mouth a bit too much for her own good. I'm tempted to think it's the latter, since she's always trying to stay on everyone's good side. The only thing is, if she wants to be on his good side, she's got to diss me, since he doesn't like me. I think he's a controlling b*stard, and the fact that she actually has a friend other than him is a situation he can't control drives him nuts, IMO. I think it's all jealousy. @@ Whatevah...at least I got to call him a gay internet ho, and to tell him that him announcing he's gay after every sentence is not only old, but becoming cliched quickly. It's no longer cutting edge to be gay, and he doesn't seem to realize this. I think he considers his gayosity (yeah i know it's not a word lol) as a ticket to instant cool...but he makes up for it by offering himself to every Tom, Dick & Harry on the internet if they'll meet him...and he thinks I'M a ho!! ;) HA!!! Makes me laugh. *wipes tear away* that's so precious.
Third thing that's going wrong lately...my 1 year old (same one who's having the aforementioned party) is having night terrors, I think. He wakes up screaming, and he doesn't even look like he's fully awake. He seems to just lay there with his eyes closed, screaming and crying, no tears, just noise. And after a few minutes of cuddling, he goes right back to sleep like it never happened. Earlier this evening, I put him down to bed around 8pm, and he woke up every 15 minutes or so, crying like this. He's been asleep nearly two hours now, so (knock on wood) we're prolly past it for the night. Doesn't help my mood though, to know that my child has troubles and I can't help him with it. :( |

OK, here's a list of projected updates and story information for my account at http://www.fanfiction.net USERNAME: ScarlettMoonchild, if anyone's following that. I've gotten a lot of emails recently, from folks wondering when I'm going to update some of my stories...especially the Pippin story (Fool of a Took) and Arabella. The answers are below, my friends, so read on. Please do keep in mind that I am pregnant, and I have 3 very small children (3 yrs, 2 yrs, 1 yr), so I don't have as much time to write as I once did. :(
*ONE SHREK TO BRING THEM ALL*
This one is newly updated, and I've got another update planned for next Monday (I would update sooner, but I have my son's party this weekend and it's taking up a lot of attention). I hope you all still like it, because it seems to me to be faltering a little in plotline. More Puss in Boots in the next chapter, and it's mostly written, just needs something in the middle and needs to be beta'd before posting :)
*ARABELLA*
Currently undergoing a massive revamp. I've been trying to make the chapters longer and it's taking awhile. I've gotten the first three chapters remodeled, lol, and I may post them soon while I'm working on the others. But I haven't given up on it, never fear!
*FOOL OF A TOOK*
I've hit a major snag in this one...right at the end of the chapter too. If I updated it with what I do have now, it'd be the shortest chapter I've ever posted (and if you've read ONE SHREK or ARABELLA, you know I can post some major shorties lol). I'm trying to make it worth the effort of clicking on the link to read it. It is also archived at http://www.maikafuiniel.com/ which is a very good site to read fanfics. :)

I do have a partial third chapter written for this story, but it's been put on hold somewhat while I chase the other plot bunnies from my head. :P I promise, this story has not been abandoned...merely on hiatus.

I'm going to wait until later in the year to post the rest of this one. A lot of...family events took place last year and I didn't get to post as quickly as I'd like to have, in order to get the story completed on Thanksgiving. |
