Haven't written in ages, just been soooo busy. My grandmother passed away April 6, and there was a lot of stuff in her house that had my name on it in her writing. I guess when you're 92 you realize you're living on borrowed time, and you decide to go ahead and divy up your stuff while you have a say in who gets it. That's so morbid to me, but I ended up with an almost new washer, dryer and refrigerator, LOL. Interesting how that worked out, since we're moving to a new house and those are all things we would've needed. Maybe it's my grandmother just continuing to take care of us from the great beyond. That's actually a comforting thought. :)
The house. Well, it's haunted, first and foremost, LOL. It's really creepy, because it's an older house, in an older part of town, and it has an attic and a cellar. The cellar door has been carpeted over, which sends up paranormal red flags automatically (i.e., what were they hiding?), and if you've ever seen the movie "The Grudge", you won't want to go into the closet off the laundry room. It has the trapdoor to the attic in the ceiling...just a small square upward entrance, hidden inside a closet. Very creepy. The previous owners told us a story about how the woman's niece came over to play, and was shouting. The woman came in to see what was wrong, and the girl said "Aunt Lisa, who's Anna?" (might have been Anne...the woman wasn't sure). After she told the child she didn't know, the girl said "Well, she was calling me." Woooo...sends shivers up the spine! :D Also they said they used to hear strange noises in the house before they had kids, but didn't elaborate. I figure it's not too dangerous, since their oldest child is 7 and they lived there even before they had him. Still kind of creepy and cool. :)
The baby. I'm now over 4 months along, well into my 2nd trimester. I'm feeling a lot of movement, and the doctor should have been able to determine the sex of the baby by the ultrasound we just had done...only the little tyke was uncooperative and would not spread them for the camera. :P Ah well, haven't settled on a boy or girl's name yet; we like everything from Ashleigh to Jayden to Caitlyn. Jayda Caitlyn? Hmmm, possibilities.
The relationship. It seems to get better and better between my boyfriend and me. :) It seems like each moment we spend together doesn't last long enough. We're close enough now to finish each other's sentences half the time, which is pretty cool. I don't want to get over-sentimental on my first day back, so I'll shut up and sign off, LOL.
I do want to say that I'm working on some more chapters to my stories on fanfiction.net. I have a chappie to "Fool of a Took" that I'm almost ready to post, it just needs to be sent to my beta first. :P
